Dark fiber from **165 Halsey Street, Newark** to **60 Hudson Street, Manhattan**, through **PATH Tunnel F** under the Hudson. In service today.

## Latency

**88,883 ns one-way optical fiber latency**, 165 Halsey ↔ 60 Hudson, calculated for the central route from fiber length. The figure covers the fiber only, not the equipment at each end; ask for the eastern and western routes. It is the lowest-latency connection between the two buildings.

In the GeoJSON, SE POE is the eastern route, N POE the central route, and SW POE the western route. The western feature ends near 60 Hudson; GIX describes that route as running to a manhole in Lower Manhattan.

### Manholes

Our routes are buried and secured. GIX owns the manholes at Worth Street and in Jersey City; the eastern route uses a shared entry manhole on Thomas Street.

1. Newark to Manhattan, end to end: 165 Halsey → PATH Tunnel F → 60 Hudson.
2. Newark to Jersey City: 165 Halsey MMR 2 → Exchange Place PATH station → Jersey City.
3. Jersey City to Manhattan: GIX manhole in Jersey City → PATH Tunnel F → Lower Manhattan.
4. Lower Manhattan: the eastern, central, and western routes above.

## Planned extensions
